CALIFORNIA REDWOODS RETREAT
Come to be held by something ancient. Come to remember what you already know.
Week-Long Retreat in the Heart of the Soaring Energy of the Redwoods
October 7-14, 2026
Experience the rejuvenation of retreating from the pull of daily life, cradled by the powerful natural energy of the California Redwoods, the Klamath River, and the Pacific Ocean. Restore inner balance, and embark on a life-changing, journey with meditation, intuitive guidance and subtle energy exploration that resets the nervous system, uplifts and heals.
We’ll make our base at the Historic Requa Inn. Located on land traditionally inhabited by the Yurok people, the Inn sits humbly at the spectacular confluence of the Klamath River and the Pacific Ocean, and in the heart of a series of redwood parks that have been declared both an international biosphere and world heritage site. Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, Smith River National Recreation Area, and the Pacific coast are all within a 40-minute radius of the Inn.
The retreat will start with dinner at the Requa Inn on the 7th, followed by an introductory evening with Kwan Yin. We’ll have daily sunrise meditations with movement, morning sessions with Kwan Yin, and daily excursions to experience the subtle energies of nature in the magnificent landscape of trees and water. Each evening will be a session with Meg and/or Kwan Yin, as the flow dictates. The retreat ends after the morning session on the 14th. Experience the profound rejuvenation of stepping away from the pull of daily life — cradled by the ancient, powerful energy of the California Redwoods, the Klamath River, and the Pacific Ocean. This seven-night immersion weaves together Taoist-based meditation and mystical practice with somatic healing technique in a journey that resets the nervous system, balances and restores energy, opens the divine heart, and awakens the intuitive wisdom that lives beneath the noise of ordinary life.
We’ll make our base at the Historic Requa Inn, situated on land that has been home to the Yurok people since time immemorial. The Inn sits at the spectacular confluence of the Klamath River and the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by a series of redwood parks declared both an international biosphere and world heritage site — Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, and Smith River National Recreation Area are all within a 40-minute radius.
Our meditation and somatic healing sessions will be centered at Requa House, which stands on a hilltop above the Inn. The Yurok people have long held this land as sacred and believe it to be where the veil between heaven and earth is thinnest. We are very fortunate to have such powerful energy supporting and deepening our work.
Each day will weave together sunrise meditations with movement, morning and evening sessions with Kwan Yin, and daily excursions into the landscape of trees and water to experience the subtle energies of nature directly. Hikes are easy to light moderate. The retreat begins with dinner at the Inn on the evening of October 7th, followed by an introductory session with Kwan Yin. The retreat ends after the morning session on October 14th.
